motion loop, a frame
by frame journey
PERSONAL PROJECT
Quarantine is the perfect occasion to be more creative and to learn new techniques.
Having time for pure creativity can be really relieving.
It started out from a single artwork for my Instagram profile, but then it quickly out of control into a looped animation.
This motion design represents a precise moment of a story I imagined.
I like when I can improve new skills by naturally following the development of a project.
I hope you enjoy the results!

MOTION LOOP ARTWORK
3 days of work from first sketch to final loop, and next time I'll be faster.
Just few seconds, looped again and again, but still very funny and trippy.
Frame by frame design can really give you the power upon viewer's eyes perception, playing around with elements and very specific movements.

VECTOR FRAMES
At the beginning, it should have been a vector poster.
After few different gradients studies, I went for a fast four-frame GIF.
It easily become 20 frames, so I decided to switch on Photoshop and then AfterEffect for a frame by frame looped mini video.
It was so easy to keep on improving a design that I had to stop at a certain points, because of inquiries incoming.
But I will publish more of this story soon!
Here the initial vector frames I've realized:
After Adobe Illustrator edits, I took raw vector artworks on Photoshop and post-produced every frames adding some storytelling elements: the human shapes on the light sources.
The visual has now fluency and also a brief story behind.
